E355 ADIPIC ACID
Adipic acid, in nature, can be found both in beet juice and in rancid products due to oxidation. It is an acidity regulator, an antiseptic compound and a fragrance fixer.
Being a compound metabolized by our body and expelled with urine, it is not very risky for health; consequently there are no significant side effects reported in the literature.
ADI DOSE: 5 mg per kg of body weight.
