Respecting the basic concepts of human nutrition, endocrinology and chrono-biology (unless they are exclusive to the philosopher Dr. Lemme), any food technician distinguishes nutrients based on metabolic functions. Let me be clear, the reference is to well-trained specialists and not to " umbrella makers " (as the author of the Lemme diet defines them). On the other hand, most of the ingested MACRO-nutrients are destined for energy production and their quantity and percentage in the diet determine their metabolic pathway. I apologize to the professionals for the simplistic and the profane for the lack of clarity; let's try to give a small example: in a 2000kcal diet with 150g of protein (many), not all end up in tissue turnover! A part of the resulting amino acids undergoes deamination and neoglucogenesis for glycemic maintenance (or adipose deposit); it depends a lot on the other variables that affect the metabolism of the person (or of the "fat"!). And yet, among the functions of food proteins, the most important are linked to the biological function of tissue, enzymatic, hormonal restructuring, etc. Nevertheless, if introduced in excess, they too are oxidized in order to produce energy or deposited in adipose fat. These are fairly widespread concepts, but probably the difference between the dazzling effectiveness of the Lemme diet compared to the "umbrella" therapies consists in the ability to apply them correctly. I do not enter into the merits of the evaluation of the "INDIVIDUAL ENZYMATIC POOL (variable over time)" which represents a clear application of the concept of individuality; if it were laboratory tests ... hats off!
