Cure with Eleuterococcus

Botanical Name: Eleutherococcus senticosus (Rupr. Et Maxim.)

Therapeutic use:

Relieve symptoms of fatigue, such as fatigue, difficulty concentrating and weakness

Indicative dosage in adolescents (after 12 years), in adults and in the elderly:

  1. If the eleuterococcus is used in the form of dry extract titrated in eleuteroside (> 1%):
    • take 100-200 mg three times a day, preferably in the morning
  2. If the Eleutherococcus is used in the form of a drug (root) dried and minced cut herbal tea:
    • take 2-3 grams per day as a decoction in 150 ml of water. The 150 ml should be divided into one / three doses during the day, the last of which should be taken by three in the afternoon to avoid the appearance of insomnia.
  3. If the Eleutherococcus is used as a dry extract with a drug / extract (DER) ratio of 14-25: 1 (extraction solvent: 40% v / v ethanol)
    • take 65-195 mg, corresponding to 2-3 grams of dried root
  4. If the Eleutherococcus is used in the form of a dry extract with a drug / extract (DER) 17-30: 1 ratio (extraction solvent: 70% v / v ethanol)
    • take 65-195 mg, corresponding to 2-3 grams of dried root
  5. If the Eleutherococcus is used as a dye with a drug / solvent ratio of 1: 5; extraction solvent: 40% v / v ethanol
    • take 10-15 ml per day

NOTES: Eleutherococcus root extracts are NOT indicated for children and adolescents under 12 years. Do not take for more than two months. They are contraindicated in case of hypertension, insomnia or hypersensitivity towards one or more pharmacologically active substances contained in the extract. If symptoms persist for more than two weeks during the period of use of the product or tend to worsen, consult your doctor. As a precautionary measure, do not take during pregnancy and lactation. Cases of insomnia, irritability, tachycardia and headache have been reported after taking eleuterococcus extracts. If these side effects occur seriously, or if other side effects occur, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Read the package insert and follow the instructions for the correct use of the product.
