Acne rosacea and sun protection

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory disease of the skin, which typically occurs with a redness of cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. People with rosacea have very sensitive skin, which responds disproportionately to stimuli.

Exposure to sunlight is one of these aggravating factors and should therefore be limited. In fact, the sun increases the inflammatory nature of rosacea, especially in people with fair complexions.

To protect yourself from the sun, you can use a wide- brimmed hat and use solar products with physical filters (containing zinc or titanium) daily. In spring and summer, sun protection (with SPF 30 or more ) should also be applied in the city and not only in the case of stays at sea or in the mountains.
