Herbal tea for anxiety and insomnia

In this article we analyze a known and traditional sedative herbal tea useful in anxious states, that is in all those emotional conditions very similar to fear but in which the danger felt is not well defined. The anxious subject is often sad, indisposed, throbbing, has difficulty falling asleep, sweats a lot, complains about breathing difficulties and suffers from an inner discomfort that negatively affects the social, emotional and sexual sphere.

Within certain limits, anxiety is not dysfunctional in itself but, on the contrary, it is indispensable for survival; however, when the state of alert is such as to induce the individual to adopt a series of behaviors such as to compromise the quality of life (such as avoidance and control rituals), anxiety takes on pathological connotations.

In all those conditions where the state of anxiety arises between the physiological and the pathological, the assumption of a sedative herbal tea is undoubtedly a valid aid to alleviate discomforts and to face with greater serenity important fears and objectives.

There are many natural remedies against anxiety, many of which are real active ingredients of some drugs. The herbal tea we offer in this article is essentially based on volatile oils and as such must be obtained by infusion and not by decoction. The use and the dosage foresee that the boiling water is poured on the preparation, then letting the infusion rest for a few minutes in a covered container; normally one tablespoon of preparation is used per cup, to be taken 1-3 times a day with still hot beverage.
