Food combinations

By Dr. Izzo Lorenzo

Theoretical bases of food combinations: some terms used in this article reflect the characteristic style of alternative medicine and should therefore be interpreted with a critical spirit. The need to divide food classes into meals so categorically is NOT generally accepted by medical science, although many theoretical principles about digestive mechanisms are scientifically based.

Count Sandwich was the inventor of the sandwich.

Food associations have been introduced into created by "corrupt" humans. Wild animals (which are in good health) never feed on a large variety of foods; each of their meals is composed of a single kind of food or almost.

Homo apsapiens≫, out of pride, does not want to admit that he must respect nature like animals, and nature re-educates him with pain, deformation and premature death.

When one eats bread with cheese, bread prevents the digestion of cheese and vice versa. When one eats cheese or milk together with bread, some require a very acidic environment to be digested, the other not. Thus protein digestion (cheese, milk, eggs) occurs in contrast to starch digestion (bread, rice, potatoes, semolina); indigestion occurs in a word. Thus, what has been introduced is only partially digested, while the remainder is expelled with a considerable loss of energy.

Bread combined with jam, honey, etc. it is not digested well; in fact every starch is badly transformed if it is associated with sugar. Starch digestion (bread), for example, begins in the mouth and continues into the stomach, sugars are instead digested exclusively in the intestine. When sugars prolong their permanence in the stomach, due to the digestion of the bread, they rapidly ferment with the help of heat and humidity, and the whole mass enters fermentation, causing acidity, indigestion, burning and gas. Melon is indigestible for many, but if taken alone and away from meals it is easily digestible for everyone. Acid fruits (lemon, tomato, etc.) hinder digestion and consume the body's minerals, if they are ingested together with starchy foods (bread, potatoes, etc.). The fruit must be consumed alone in a single meal, associating it with other types of fruit of equal taste if desired.

Every protein food must be taken associated with vegetables and that's it, without oil, because fats hinder the digestion of proteins.

Only the sour fruit is associated quite well with white cheese and walnuts.

Starchy foods must be ingested together with vegetables with oil if you want and nothing else. Many vegetarians do not appreciate the value of perfect food associations and do not want to take them into account; however, they must admit that they are often affected by disease, even if in a mild form such as drowsiness, skin reactions, etc. To regain perfect balance, they will resort to natural remedies: cold water baths, herbal teas, clay etc. If you respect nature properly, you will understand that even these natural remedies are useless.

Man should feed on natural foods consumed in the virgin state, using only one species of food per meal, once or twice a day, but always changing species.

This is where all the science of human nutrition is summarized, a science capable of eliminating every disease and organic defect. But with the times we go through, and with the current psychological state, with the exception of some individuals, to ask so much, all of a sudden it would be too much. Those who really intend to move towards a better state of health must consider food combinations. For the first few days, if desired, you can eat fruit half an hour before meals and eat sweet fruit half an hour after starchy meals. Protein foods eaten alone before starchy foods are more (but not optimally) digestible; on the contrary, there will be greater difficulty in digestion if starchy and protein foods are ingested at the same time.

For adults, milk must be taken as a single meal, alone and curdled. With the exception of children up to five years of age, it is much wiser not to use milk. The individual should not drink fluids during meals.

Do not eat too little and often, except in exceptional cases (after fasting, etc.). It is advisable to divide meals and eat only during meals, which must be two or three a day. Never eat immediately after a great physical or intellectual effort; do not eat when you are not hungry; if one drinks when one is thirsty, then why not only eat when one has an appetite? No one is afraid: you don't die by skipping one or more meals.

A human being can remain alive two, ten, thirty and even a hundred days without touching any food. Resistance in fasting depends on the organic reserve and the personal psychological state. Keep in mind that eating without being hungry means "running towards illness and death". The number of people who died due to being forced to eat is immense, and the number of children who have died from forced overfeeding from their parents is equally large. In truth one dies much more easily by eating than by fasting with judgment, and it is useful to remember that fasting performed with competence is an excellent means of eliminating evil. Lack of appetite is a warning of the wise nature that intends to make it understood that the ailing body must not receive food. Not taking this warning into account means increasing the pains of existence.

The phrase "hara hachi bu" (raised from table with 80% full stomach), is attributed to the greater longevity of the inhabitants of the Japanese island of Okinawa. A slight caloric restriction has proven effective in significantly prolonging the longevity of laboratory mice, especially when compared to that of supercharged guinea pigs. Controlled or intermittent fasting is supported by numerous alternative medicine schools, but also by several exponents of the official one; however, these are delicate practices that require the supervision of experts in the field. In general it is good to avoid any possible extremes of the concept; getting up from the table with a thread of appetite and reducing the amount of food the day after a particularly abundant meal can be considered a simple, healthy and free of contraindications (in healthy subjects).
