Lateral trunk flexibility


This test is used to determine the degree of lateral flexibility of the spine.

MATERIAL REQUIRED:

  • meter
  • assistant
  • pen, notes

PROTOCOL OF EXECUTION:

The subject is initially in the position of orthostatism. Keeping the arms at your sides, the individual flexes the torso sideways on the frontal plane.

The assistant detects the difference in centimeters between the starting position of the hand and the arrival position at the point of maximum flexion.

The TEST is repeated for the other side of the body.

ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTS

The analysis of the results makes it possible to establish the degree of lateral flexibility of the bust and, if referred to previous tests, is able to give an estimate of improvements or deterioration in performance.
