Coffee Races

Coffee competitions are held more or less all over the world, with local, national and finally international competitions. In Europe, the body most involved in this sector is undoubtedly the "Specialty Coffee Association of Europe".

Also known as SCAE, the "Specialty Coffee Association of Europe" was founded in 1998 and was the first association to develop the concept of "World Barista Championship".

Thanks to a network spread throughout Europe (and beyond), SCAE held its first competition in Monte Carlo in 2000. Today, this association represents the heart of the European coffee community, where thousands of professionals and enthusiasts can share experiences and opinions by attending a course called "Coffee Diploma System".

The recognition of participation is considered rather qualifying and represents a curricular element of considerable importance.
