Tara gum is an additive of natural origin obtained from the seeds of the tare ( Caesalpinia spinosa ) originating in Latin America and Africa.

It is a compound with a predominantly thickening function that can be commonly found in all kinds of foods.

Currently there are no known side effects harmful to the health of the consumer.
