L-Taurine Eurosup

Food supplement based on L-Taurine

FORMAT

Pack of 300g

COMPOSITION

L-Taurine

One scoop contains: L-Taurine - 500 mg

Product features L-Taurina Eurosup

L-Taurine - 2-aminoethanosulfonic acid; it is considered a conditionally essential amino acid, although it structurally differs from the amino acids due to the absence of the carboxyl group and to the presence of the sulphonic one. It is synthesized by our body mainly in the liver - from sulfur amino acids (methionine and cysteine) and in the presence of vitamin B6 - for about 40/400 mg a day; it is also introduced with the diet through animal-derived foods such as meat, fish, eggs and milk.

Supplementation is necessary in case of reduced dietary intake, which occurs for example in vegans (considering that also the two precursors of taurine are almost absent in vegetables); deficiencies can also occur in case of liver diseases or gastrointestinal tract diseases, and in the case of increased needs. The intense physical activity, in fact, seems to be one of the causes of increased consumption of this amino acid, so as to significantly increase the levels of taurine excreted in the urine.

Particularly concentrated at the level of skeletal muscle, cardiac and cerebral, this osmotically active molecule falls primarily in the regulation of cell volume and in the synthesis of some bile salts, particularly effective in the emulsifying action.

However, L-taurine has also found other applications in the treatment of epilepsy and psychic sphere disorders, where it has shown a sedating effect similar to that of GABA; it has also proved useful in the regulation of immune defense and in the prevention of certain metabolic disorders such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

Despite the biological age of this molecule, it is necessary to reiterate that the therapeutic potential of Taurine is still being tested and therefore there are no MEDICINES based on this product on the market.

L-Taurine in sports practice

Taurine has found one of its most successful commercial applications, coming under the constitution of a known energy drink, and the diffusion in the sports environment has essentially exploited the energizing effects of this drink, generalizing them also to the use of taurine alone.

In sports practice, therefore, this amino acid is used with the intent of:

  • Increase the body's energy reserves;
  • Reduce muscle damage induced by intense exercise;
  • Increase the lean mass;
  • Improve ateltic performance.

Rationalization of integration in sports practice L-Taurina Eurosup

Several studies have been carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of this supplement in improving athletic performance.

Energizing effect: the much-coveted energizing effect, as well as the improvement of cognitive abilities recorded following the consumption of drinks containing taurine, is erroneously entrusted to the amino acid, but could be given by other principles present in the drink and in particular caffeine.

Anabolic effect: there are no studies at the time that support this hypothesis, just as insulin-like action or insulin stimulation have recently been reviewed, which absolutely do not exist.

Antioxidant and cytoprotective effect: several studies seem to agree on the antioxidant potential of this molecule. In fact, there are experimental evidences both in vitro and in vivo (on laboratory animals and on individuals subjected to physical exercise), which suggest the efficacy of taurine in reducing the damage induced by intense physical exercise.

The correlation found between taurine deficiency and obesity could also be interesting.

Recommended use by the company - L-Taurina Eurosup

Dissolve the contents of half scoop (500 mg) with water or other liquid of your choice

Take the preparation 15-30 minutes before the moment in which a tonic intake is deemed necessary, or during the day.

Use in sports practice L-Taurina Eurosup

Although many studies are still in the experimental phase, the antioxidant effects on men have been recorded for doses of 1.5 to 3 grams per day.

The pharmacokinetic studies of this amino acid are few and discouraging. In fact, it appears that the plasma concentrations also rise 13 times after weekly taurine supplementation, but no increase is observed on the muscle pull of this molecule.

To make the best use of the antioxidant action, it would be advisable to take this supplement before training, bearing in mind that blood peaks are found about 2 hours after ingestion.

How to optimize its activity L-Taurina Eurosup

The synergistic activity with caffeine appears to be well characterized, for which it is described how supplementation for 2 weeks can improve athletic performance, significantly reducing lactate production.

As well as adding taurine to creatine, alpha ketoglutarate, BCAA and medium chain fatty acids, it can definitely improve strength in intense exercises.

Very interesting, but still not completely characterized, could be the association of taurine with other antioxidants, useful in counteracting the oxidative damage induced by intense physical exercise, with a consequent improvement in performance.

L-Taurine Eurosup side effects

Not yet well documented are the side effects of this substance, which seems to be safe at a dose of 3 grams per day.

However, cases of hypertension are documented

Nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and migraine were found at high doses.

Precautions for use L-Taurine Eurosup

The product is contraindicated in cases of renal or hepatic disease, cardiovascular disease and / or hypertension, during pregnancy, during lactation, under 12 years.

Drug interactions could be achieved with antiepileptic and anti-pumping drugs.
