Dysphagia - Causes and Symptoms

Definition

Objective difficulty in swallowing solid or liquid food, or feeling that the food ingested remains halfway between the mouth and the stomach. It is very similar to the aetiophagia in which swallowing causes a painful sensation caused by the passage of food (in particular hot liquids, alcoholic or spicy) on the inflamed esophageal mucosa.
