E442 AMMONIUM PHOSPHATES
Ammonium phosphates are obtained from ammonia and phosphorylated fatty acids, derived mainly from rapeseed oil.
They act mainly as stabilizers and synthetic emulsifiers.
They are often used in chocolate and cocoa-based products. In high doses, they can cause digestive disorders and poor assimilation of minerals. However, not much research or studies have been done on this additive, so there is no definite information on the side effects of ammonium phosphates.
ADI DOSE: 30 mg per kg of body weight.
