Technique in the game of football

There are various ways to kick the ball: if the ball is facing the opponent's goal, we will talk about shooting; if the intent is to free one's dangerous area by kicking the ball far, it will be a liberating throw ; if instead the goal is to pass the ball to the companion, then we can talk in passing.

The success of a shot is determined by the following factors:

  1. kicking foot;
  2. support foot;
  3. soccer ball mode.

The ball can be struck through various parts of the foot: internal foot, external foot, instep, instep, instep and heel.

The ball's trajectories can be: low, high or half-height.

The directions of the passages or shots can be: horizontal, diagonal or vertical.

Internal foot kick

The inside foot stock is used for the passages or for the shots and can be performed either from standstill or in motion.

This fundamental is the safest for low passages and the support foot is positioned next to the ball, with the leg slightly bent at the knee. The kicking foot must be positioned with the plant parallel to the ground and the torso must have the center of gravity above the center of the ball.

Foot kick inside

This mode of kicking the ball is used for passages and shots of medium and long distance, or to make crosses or free kicks even to effect.

The run-up is oblique to the direction that you want to give to the ball: if you kick with the right the run-up is on the left, if instead you kick with the left the run-up is on the right.

The supporting foot must be placed more distant from the ball than the flat stock, while the kicking foot must be extended downwards and the ankle slightly turned outwards.

The torso should be kept slightly bent forward towards the supporting leg, while the gaze is turned towards the ball.

The trajectory of the shot will be more or less high depending on the inclination of the body and the point where you want to hit the ball.

We must not forget that the last step of the run-up must be longer than the others.

Foot neck football

This fundamental is used above all for shots on goal or for liberators.

The counter movement and the movement coincide with the direction of the kick and this allows to give greater speed to the ball.

The support foot should be placed laterally to the ball, while the knee of the kicking leg should be above the ball when contact with the foot occurs. The toe should face down and remain in this position even after hitting the ball.

Foot kick outside

The kick of the outside with the foot is often used to pull on the goal, both with the balls in motion, and with balloons from the ground.

It is particularly effective when the balloons arrive from above, on the fly or counterbalanced.

The run-up is generally straight, but in some cases it can be curved.

At the time of contact with the ball, the eye must always be facing the ball.

External foot kick

It is used for short passes or to give the ball effects or turns that allow the partner better control of the ball.

Top kick

It is used especially in times of emergency, that is when it is not possible to set any type of football without risking arriving after the opponent. Passages and shots on goal are performed with approximate precision. It is very used when the field conditions are very bad (wet field), to give more strength to the ball and allow it to move forward.

Heel ball football

It is a fundamental that requires high tactile sensitivity, coordination and peripheral vision. It is used for spectacular actions.
