What is the fovea?

The fovea represents the area of the retina with the greatest visual acuity. Here the light coming from the center of the visual field is directed and the most defined image in absolute is produced thanks to the activity of the cones tightly attached so as to be connected with a 1: 1 ratio with the bipolar cells (interposed between photoreceptors and cells ganglion).
