On a diet Spending little

Premise

Nowadays, following a weight loss diet seems to have become a real luxury. This does not only happen because of the "honorary" importance of certain professionals (above all "pseudo-fashionable gurus" and dieticians or nutritionists who ignore the economic crisis), but also because of the disproportionate costs that, a little for necessity, a little for speculation, they characterize "light" or higher quality foods.

But will QUALITY really make the difference in price?

Cost of a professional

Spend too much, or worse, spend too little!

I begin this article by expressing my very personal disagreement with two categories of nutrition and nutrition professionals:

the first is mentioned in the introduction, that is the one made up of the most greedy who, in one way or another (almost never by merit), tear up exorbitant figures in exchange for a qualitatively equal service (and sometimes inferior) to many others available on the market; the right to health is one of the most important constitutional principles (article 32 of the Italian Constitution) and the wisdom of a professional should be used to "do good" rather than to fatten one's wallet exceedingly. After all, if the method and the means are REALLY "exceptional", the increase in earnings for greater turnout will be an almost inevitable consequence of the so-called "word of mouth" advertising.

The second category, on the other hand, is represented by specialists (so to speak) who, for various reasons, SELL their professionalism. Let me be clear, when I talk about SELL I don't mean the offer of a complete service and a ridiculous honorarium (nobody would do it), but a poor service (even if NOT recognizable by the average customer) at a price that, despite being limited, in detail may also be excessive. This group (in continuous expansion) includes also the collaborators of certain chains, who mostly leave a ridiculous didactic training course (paradoxically granted by the Italian legislation !!!) BUT, following the method imposed and standardized by the brand, REGALANO diets and SELL DEEP products over the counter (almost all placebos).

Continuing, I am certainly not the least those who carry out the same "play" on a private level, in the clinic, perhaps leaning on hierarchical pyramid structures in which "the more you sell and the more you earn, climbing the summit!" I would also like to remind them that our job is based on essential moral and ethical principles; of course, EVERYONE must have a source of income (and it is increasingly difficult), but deceive or deceive the users, sell off the profession, make unfair competition or carry out a profession to which one is not technically prepared, are behaviors that in the long term they will inexorably destroy our working figure.

That being said, let's focus on food!

Save on buying food

Introduction

Assuming you have found an honest and prepared specialist, we try to understand how to comply with the diet "without having to sign a bill" whenever you leave the shops or markets.

To facilitate the comprehension of such a vast and complicated subject, I will try to proceed in order by listing the types of food one at a time and illustrating the variables concerning the conservation as well as the cooking thereof.

WARNING! The following will NOT be referred to the SALUTISTIC distinction between organic foods, those obtained from traditional methods and those genetically modified. Starting from the assumption that all the specifications guarantee (or should guarantee) the total edibility and wholesomeness of the food, the choice of one or the other type depends ONLY on the moral principles of the purchaser. It goes without saying that an organic product certainly costs much more than a traditional one, just as the greatest convenience can be identified in some GMOs designed to increase profitability. I repeat, these are personal choices which, in the following, will not be in any way disputed or disputed.

  • Spend little on meat
  • Spend little on fishery products
  • Spend a little on the eggs
  • Spend little on milk and dairy products
  • Spend little on cereals, derivatives and tubers
  • Spend little on legumes
  • Spend little on fats and seasoning oils
  • Spend little on vegetables and fruit
