E474 SACCAROGLICERIDI
Saccharoglycerides are the product of the reaction between sucrose and fatty acids.
Fats can be either of vegetable or animal origin.
These food additives are used in the various products for their emulsifying and stabilizing function; participate in flour processing.
They are often confused with E473, but they are different food additives.
Saccharoglycerides can be contained in different foods, such as in sauces, soups, desserts, milk-based drinks, soft drinks, candies and confetti, and in some food supplements.
At the moment there are no known negative side effects for human health, as the body metabolizes all the components of saccharoglycerides just like sugar and fats contained in food.
Dose ADI: 16-20 mg per kg of body weight.
