Who is the pediatrician?

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that is concerned with the physical, mental and emotional well-being of newborns, children and adolescents.

The pediatrician, therefore, is a doctor who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all the problems and all the diseases that can arise during the years of development.

The names pediatrician and pediatrics derive from the Greek terms " pàis ", which means "child" or "boy", and " iatros ", which means "doctor".
