How is malaria transmitted?

Malaria transmission occurs through the bite of infected female mosquitoes of the genus Anopheles, which, through the blood meal (ie the puncture), transfer the infection from man to man.

Thus poured into the bloodstream, the plasmodium of malaria begins to multiply exponentially in the cells of the liver (exoerythrocyte cycle), then, after 7-10 days, infects red blood cells (erythrocyte cycle).
