Coprophilia is a behavior characterized by a particular interest in excrement.
This manifestation belongs to the sphere of sexual psychopathology, in particular paraphilias (that is, recurring and intense erotic impulses, characterized by unusual and unusual fantasies or behaviors).
In this context, one's own or other people's excrements become objects of pleasure and the sight of defecation, odor or contact with fecal material has a sexually exciting effect.
Coprophilia can be found in some serious forms of psychosis, schizophrenia and advanced dementia states.
