"Birthmarks" in pregnancy: what are the causes?

" Cravings " are the sudden desire to eat a particular food during pregnancy .

First of all, it must be said that conception initiates a hormonal change that predisposes the organism to childbirth and involves, among its various effects, also the alteration of taste and smell. Furthermore, these variations can increase the appetite, generally, after the 4th-5th month. This stimulates the need for recurring snacks and the appearance of particular "cravings".

Within certain limits, it is possible to satisfy these small food desires, if the pregnant woman does not have problems with overweight. According to some theories, in fact, the "cravings" correspond to stimuli of the body triggered to compensate for the lack of certain nutrients . It should be remembered, however, that satisfying them must be an exception, while, as a rule, it is good to follow a balanced diet .
