Indications FOOT ZETA ® undecylenic acid + usnic acid

FOOT ZETA ® is indicated in the cleaning and disinfection of wounds, sores, burns and cutaneous infectious lesions and in fungal pathologies of the foot sustained by dermatophytes as in the case of the athlete's foot.

Mode of action FOOT ZETA ® undecylenic acid + usnic acid

FOOT ZETA ® combines the action of two active ingredients naturally extracted and with a marked anti-fungal and antibacterial activity.

More precisely, undecylenic acid is an unsaturated aliphatic acid obtained from the oil of some leguminous plants, endowed with a natural antimycotic and antibacterial activity supported by mechanisms of action not yet fully known, although very probably linked to the inhibition of fatty acid biosynthesis, proved to be effective against superficial fungal infections.

Usnico acid, on the other hand, is an active ingredient extracted from lichens, with both a modest antifungal and antibacterial activity and an effective anti-inflammatory and cicatrising activity useful in assisting a prompt remission of the symptoms present during cutaneous mycoses.

The combination of these two natural active ingredients has proved effective in the course of skin diseases sustained by dermatophytes, yeasts and fungi.
