Relaxation technique

Gymnastics and nutrition are not the only means capable of giving us a beautiful and harmonious body. Relaxation is also very important as it helps us to restore mind and spirit.

It is not easy to relax in the midst of the many tensions that life offers us. Often you can't find the right time or environment to do it, while at other times you don't know the right relaxation techniques.

The ideal time to relax is in the evening, a moment before going to bed. However, after learning to listen to one's body, abandoning oneself becomes easier and can be done at any time, to regain energy at work or to calm down after a long quarrel.

Turn down the lights, turn off the television, look for the most peaceful conditions.

Lie flat on your back, hands at your sides, eyes closed. Abandon yourself letting the body spontaneously find the position of minimum tension. Don't contract your muscles, let gravity guide your movements. The joints will have to melt and move gently as if they were driven by the wind.

Perform deep breaths, concentrating on your abdomen, try to inflate it like a balloon during each inhalation and then slowly empty it during exhalation.

Relax ...

Now concentrate on the face, keep your eyes closed without tightening them, let the eyelids lower gently. In a few moments, retrace the whole day in your mind.

Gather your energy and pass it on to your forehead. Imagine that someone gently pull your hair down. The forehead follows the movement of the scalp, the skin of the face becomes supple, the lips open, the jaw opens gently.

The more time passes and the more the tensions disappear, your muscles become like butter, the skin an ice cream that melts in the sun, the hair and hair seem to detach from the body.

Indulge ..

Relaxation is total now, the mind is in a quiet phase, the half-closed eyes are lost in the void. Peace and tranquility reign in the room, your relaxation is such that you do not see or hear anything.

Stay in this state for a few minutes if you feel the need to fall asleep.

When you decide to return to reality, try slowly to regain control of your muscles. Try to recompose your body slowly, lifting skin and muscles off the ground. The inspirations deepen the shorter expirations. Gradually regain control of your muscles, small shivers run down your back to witness the energy that starts flowing again.

Get up slowly by opening your eyes at the last moment. You feel satisfied, relaxed, a sense of tranquility surrounds you, tensions have disappeared and above all you are aware of having restored the right serenity to your spirit.
