Gyrotonic: the art of movement

This incredible discipline was born in the United States in the 1980s, by the Hungarian dancer Juliu Horvath. After a few years, Juliu breaks his Achilles tendon and this injury suddenly ends his career as a dancer. After the injury, Juliu begins the individual practice of Yoga;

deepens thus the study and the intensive practice of Yoga developing a system called "Yoga for Dancers", with which it creates and deepens the advanced level that will take the name of Gyrokinesis®. Subsequently his creative energies allowed him to develop the Gyrotonic Expansion System ® as we know it today.

Gyrotonic ® is a new training method that stimulates the joints and exercises the muscles. Allows the body to stretch and strengthen at the same time.

The Gyrotonic ® is based on key principles of dance, yoga, martial arts, swimming, and does so through spherical movements, with constant resistance and without interruption.

Each exercise is accompanied by breathing, which used properly regenerates the proper functioning of the diaphragm, leaving a pleasant sensation of fluidity and mobility.

Every sport activity needs strength, flexibility and coordination. The Gyrotonic® provides super athletes of today and tomorrow not only this, but also a higher degree of resistance, versatility and grace in all movements.

This special discipline takes place mainly on some machines designed specifically for Gyrotonic ®. The tools you use during training are fully adaptable to the needs of each body and to different levels of condition. Moreover, they completely eliminate the shocks produced at the beginning and at the end of the movement by conventional machines, which is the cause of many injuries.

THE LESSON

The lesson takes place privately and lasts 60 minutes. The beginning of the actual session is preceded by an evaluation of personal characteristics. The progressions of the exercises vary depending on the person, his body and his possibilities, but above all we take into consideration his goals.
