Mentality and approach to training with kettlebells

By Dr. Ceria Luca

As a lover of functional training, I couldn't help but get close to this fantastic tool, that if you don't grab it and start "throwing it" you can't understand what muscular and emotional sensations the kettlebell can really give you.

This article was created to offer lovers of the "MOVEMENT" sector a valid means to approach the rediscovery of physical / mental conditioning in its entirety and in its entirety, without discounts, aid and comfort.

"... awareness and rediscovery of what our body can and must do ..."

Fortunately, the return of functional training, even if in a rather slow and diffident manner, has allowed the revaluation of this tool of remote origins; many trainers and authors have already covered the methodology, the various kettlebell execution techniques and the benefits that such training can give.

For my part, I will try to develop the approach and the mentality with which, those who decide to train with kettlebells, will have to ask themselves.

The kettlebell is the martial art of weights and the approach to this way of conceiving training must be the same as that of a martial style: "With respect, humility, determination and patience".

Surely the first visual impact of this tool might not be the most convincing, even if some producers are introducing more "persuasive" colors, and, if you don't know it, as soon as you take it in your hand the feelings are even worse; cold, uncomfortable, heavy ...

What you need to do is observe, first who trains with kettlebells, talk to a trained trainer, document yourself properly and wait for all the sensations received to have their effect inside your stomach.

If you decide to go ahead you will approach the gyria with respect and humility, but determined to feel and understand the training on your body.

It will certainly not be a walk, you will have to be patient in learning the right techniques, you will not have to leave anything to chance.

Repetitions on repetitions, do not be afraid to ask your trainer for clarifications if the work on your muscles is not convincing, you are probably doing something wrong and then try to have the patience to retrace your steps and try again, do not let a movement left to chance ruin your approach to this "nice cannonball".

Try to be determined and learn that only with a little effort do the first results begin to arrive, as in life.

It also tries to be smart, when too much is too much, if the hands really are too bad, the repetitions are too many, the weight is exaggerated or simply if you are too tired, be humble with yourself and return the challenge to the next, pose your kettlebell and stop: "... in any case I see my good training partner ..."
