Definition
Breast pain is a very common symptom in women of childbearing age; it is part of the typical symptomatological procession of premenstrual syndrome and therefore tends to occur cyclically a few days before the onset of menstruation, only to disappear spontaneously after the first days of flow. If separated from changes in breast consistency and morphological or secretive nipple changes, breast pain should not cause unnecessary worries.
