Spin Bike

The spin bike is a simple tool to use, not bulky and really suitable for all age groups, at any sports level and for every single need.

It is advisable to use spin bikes for the elderly to do those 15-30 minutes of movement a day, with benefits on the osteo-articular and cardiovascular system.

It is important to use the tool with the right motivations to achieve gradual goals, perhaps by putting it in front of the TV at home or deciding to buy the latest spin bike models, equipped with a CD player and with preset programs that allow you to guide your training, providing the right stimuli.

The simplicity of use of spin bikes, together with the comfort and effectiveness of these tools, justifies their success for decades. Despite the widespread diffusion among the users and the consequent familiarity that it yields, it is always worth emphasizing some crucial aspects in the choice of a good spin bike.

Some exercise bikes, but in particular some spin bikes, can mount two types of devices in the transmission:

a pinion with fixed wheel, or a pinion with free wheel.

In the first case, there is the rotation of the flywheel of the spin bike linked to that of the pedals. This means that, wanting to slow down or stop the movement of the legs, therefore of the pedals, these would be dragged by the inertial rotation of the flywheel. This is an aspect of particular relevance for a tool like the spin bike, where the weight of the flywheel is high, and if you do not pay attention to this peculiarity you could create an injury. For medium-low weight flywheels (6-8kg) this doesn't really matter, in some cases it could help to rotate the flywheels too small.

Invec, and when the free wheel sprocket is present in the spin bike transmission system, pedals and flywheel can rotate without dragging restrictions, guaranteeing the absolute guarantee of safety.

It should also be pointed out that, wanting to use the spin bike for exercises that involve standing up, it is necessary to have the rotation restricted, therefore the presence of a fixed wheel sprocket, otherwise it would not be possible to maintain the necessary fluidity.
