Oliguria - Causes and Symptoms

Definition

Decreased urine excretion, usually referred to as less than 400 ml in the 24 hours in the medium-sized adult; it is a defense mechanism to keep the water balance in balance despite the fact that the body is subjected to large fluid losses (excessive sweating, diarrhea, bleeding, burns, etc.). It is a typical symptom of dehydration.
