Walnuts look like small brains: will it be a coincidence?

Referring to the ironic quote by James Joseph, a well-known American university professor, it seems that walnuts ( Juglas regia ) have an extraordinary potential on conservation and, why not, on optimizing intellectual functions. These statements are related to some scientific works, one of which (alas, carried out on rats and not on humans), highlighted several noteworthy properties.

The title is " Effects of walnuts on learning and memory functions ". It seems that the notable concentration of good fatty acids of the walnuts, in addition to defining a certain caloric density, has had a positive impact on the learning and memory of the rats analyzed in the laboratory. Moreover, not least, it seems that those fed with walnuts decreased their food intake sensibly and spontaneously. In short, a real "Manna" for the forgetful and, why not, also for the young students. But be careful: nuts, but don't overdo it!
