E310 PROPILE GALLATO

Propyl gallate is an additive synthesized from propanol and gallic acid (molecules that reform in the intestine during the degradation process).

Propyl gallate is an antioxidant used in some "fat" products to which it is added, in particular, to prevent rancidity. However, this additive is mainly used in cosmetics.

It can cause: hyperactivity, hives, insomnia, digestive disorders, sterility, infections, allergic reactions.

Not recommended for asthmatics and for subjects sensitive to aspirin.

The use of propyl gallate is not recommended even for pregnant women, nursing mothers and infants.

ADI DOSE: it is not very clear because according to the texts it can be 0.5-1.4-2.5mg / kg of body weight per day (according to WHO).
