Mucus Free Diet

Introduction and description

Taken from dietasenzamuco.it

The mucus-free diet is a therapeutic component studied and disseminated about a century ago by a drawing teacher, prof. Arnold Ehret (27 July 1866 - Freiburg); he, driven by the desire to resolve all the disturbances defined at the time as incurable, undertook an "alternative" training path which led him to found the Mucusless Diet Healing System, also called Ehretism .

According to Ehretismo, the mucus-free diet is a fundamental method to achieve complete healing, where healing does not mean the suppression of pain but: " the natural process by which the body repairs itself ".

The mucus-free diet is based on the self-regenerative potential of the human organism and on the physiological capacity to gradually remove all impediments, poisons, deposits of fermented materials, toxins, foreign chemical substances, mucus and everything that does not belong to the composition natural body. In this way, again on the basis of what the supporters of the diet without mucus, germs, bacteria or viruses would not take root, but would simply transit.

Simply put, following the mucus-free diet means eliminating all foods that create or make mucus from the diet. The mucus is commonly associated with nasal secretion, facial sinuses or intestinal enterocytes, however, in the Ehreteico healing system, mucus also includes many other viscous substances: cholesterol, phlegm, phlegm, etc., which entering the body with foods they end up "encasing" in the colon from where they can reach all other organs and systems.

According to Ehret, through the mucus-free diet healing method it is possible to remove the mucus responsible for the diseases by allowing the body to heal itself; the principles of this dietary style allow pathological remission, the maintenance of health and the optimization of vital and secondary functions.

In short, although the mucus-free diet cannot be dissociated from the whole system, in itself it represents a real food therapy; ultimately, Ehret suggested:

  1. Eliminate foods containing mucus: white flour and derivatives, polished rice, eggs, cheese, meat, fish, salami and sausages
  2. Promote the consumption of foods that dissolve mucus: citrus fruits, fresh or dried figs, raisins, vegetables and raw fruit in general

Comment

First of all, it is appropriate to specify that the mucus-free diet dissociates from any conventional scientific foundation, therefore, as such it must be treated.

The mere web premise of the mucus-free diet should be sufficient to discourage deepening and even though I consider myself mentally open or free from any prejudice, I admit that I hesitated before embarking on reading the medical treatise dating back to the early 1900s written by Arnold Ehret, a drawing professor. Without shame, I admit to having committed an unforgivable mistake ... certainly next time I will follow my instinct!

In my opinion, Ehret and co. they discredit traditional medicine, calling it too focused on alleviating symptoms and not paying much attention to pathological causes; in parallel, Ehretism reveals and divulges the cause of all the evils that afflict humanity, the mucus, proposing the universal panacea: a diet without mucus. As obvious as it may seem, I stress that a similar attitude, in addition to being very unprofessional (if one can speak of professionalism) and even a little offensive, manifests itself extremely disinformative and anti-educational. Medical science has always focused first of all on the research of etiopathological causes, while the use of drugs is weighted according to clinical and symptomatic conditions; surely and inevitably, many mistakes have been made in medical history, but it was precisely on those errors that work was carried out until reaching miraculous abilities, such as the transplantation of organs or bone marrow.

The mucus-free diet focuses on limiting the introduction of mucus with food (?) And on the purifying potential of others; Ehret defines mucus as a foreign substance, while it is a specific secretion of some histological tissues having a well-defined function (for example, a barrier against bacterial aggression, or protection from chemical-physical stress) and that later inflammation can be produced in excess. According to the diet without mucus, pathogens infect the organism because they are kept inside; on the contrary, in reality they do NOT infect the organism precisely because they are blocked and subsequently expelled (for example, with cough or faeces). In the organism, the mucus is indispensable and without it it would not be possible to maintain a certain overall integrity, risking to contract: gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, intestinal irritation and enteric neoplasms, infections and respiratory tract infections etc.

This diet, instead of mucus-free, seems without foundation; eliminating all those foods can certainly be useful for a thoughtless weight loss and characterized by innumerable nutritional deficits, but certainly it is not a specific cure, nor a universal therapy. Personally, I strongly advise against adherence to the diet without mucus and even reading the text only.
