Maximum blood sugar value

Michael Patrick Buonocore entered the Guinness Book of Records for having recorded the highest blood glucose value that a man survived.

On March 23, 2008, the young American boy, at the age of almost 7, was admitted to the Pocono emergency center in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, where he was measured with a blood sugar of 2, 656 mg / dl.

Let us remember how - on an empty stomach and in normal health - your blood sugar fluctuates between 70 and 100mg / dl. Above the maximum value of 100-110 mg / dl we speak of pre-diabetes (impaired fasting glycaemia), while above 126mg / dl the subject is considered diabetic.
