The Ebola virus could mutate and spread even by air?

The hypothesis that the Ebola virus can acquire the ability to spread by air has so far proved to be groundless.

Like all viruses, Ebola is also subject to genetic modification, but to become airborne it should begin to replicate in the host's airway cells. However, the virus presents a tropism for blood vessels and liver and does not appear to be "interested" in changing its contagion modes.

The pathogen, in fact, is still transmitted by direct contact with blood, secretions, organs and other bodily fluids of infected people or indirect by exposure to environments contaminated by the same biological materials.
