Pulsatilla is a toxic plant no longer used in therapy.
It was once indicated for the treatment of painful menstruation and inflammation of the genito-urinary tract. Another type of anemone, Epatica ( Anemone hepatica L.), is referred to as "blood purification", although it is equally toxic.
