Spermatorrea - Causes and Symptoms

Definition

The spermatorrea is the involuntary emission of seminal fluid, independent of ejaculation.

Involuntary loss of sperm is not painful. Unlike the pollution, the spermator occurs in the absence of sexual arousal (without erection or orgasm), during sleep or during the day. Involuntary sperm emission may be particularly evident during defecation or urination.

In most cases, the spermator is related to inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the prostate. Furthermore, it is found in the case of phlogosis or infectious processes of the urethra and seminal vesicles. If recurrent, the involuntary release of sperm may indicate the presence of neurological disorders.

The spermator also recognizes causes of a psychic nature and can be found in patients suffering from depression.
