Definition

Within a couple of weeks of conception, a series of hormonal changes prepare the mother's body to feed the fetus. All this leads to the appearance of some classic symptoms of pregnancy, such as nausea (especially in the morning), increased sensitivity of the breast (which appears more turgid, sometimes painful on palpation), weakness, increased diuresis, small episodes of urinary incontinence (caused by example from sneezing, coughing or laughing) and dizziness.
