Flatulence and environmental pollution

Flatulences, particularly those of bovine origin, are often held to be one of the main causes of environmental pollution .

Although it is true that around 20% of global methane emissions are generated by livestock, only a small percentage of gas is released from the flatulence of these animals. The remaining 90-95% is instead released through breathing or the eruption of the animal.
