Monoleate sorbitan is produced from sorbitol and oleic acid.
It has a mainly emulsifying and stabilizing function.
It can be contained in different products (see the Sorbitan article)
It does not seem to have any negative side effects for human health.
Dose ADI: 26 mg per kg of body weight.
