E507 HYDROCLORIC ACID
Hydrochloric acid (HCl) - also known as hydrogen chloride or muriatic acid - is a natural acid that is obtained from salt and sulfuric acid. It appears as a transparent, colorless or slightly yellowish corrosive liquid with a pungent odor.
Soluble in water and in ethanol, hydrochloric acid is used as an additive for its function as an acidity regulator.
It can be contained in various products, such as cheese and beer.
At present, no negative side effects on human health are known.
