Mechanism of action BECOZYM ® - B vitamins

BECOZYM ® is a drug based on B vitamins, water-soluble vitamins normally present in sufficient quantities in the Mediterranean diet to satisfy even the most demanding needs.

The importance of these elements, in maintaining the state of health of the organism, is due to their biological role, useful in:

  • Guarantee the progress of numerous biochemical reactions, necessary for the production of energy;
  • Support the processes of biosynthesis of macromolecules fundamental to life, such as nucleic acids, proteins and fatty acids;
  • Contribute to the cellular antioxidant potential, protecting the body from the insults of oxidative stress;
  • Maintaining the trophicity and health of the cells of the nervous system.

The numerous biochemical reactions, in which the B group vitamins are involved, justify the vast symptomatic concert that is observed during the deficiencies of these elements, therefore requiring an appropriate integration in order to reduce the symptomatology and preserve the state of health.

Studies carried out and clinical efficacy

1. THE VITAMINS OF GROUP B AND AUTISM

The intake of group B vitamins, in autistic children, has proved useful in reducing urinary concentrations of dicarboxylic acids, important markers of the patient's poor nutritional and intestinal status.

2. GROUP B VITAMINS AND SKIN ULCERS

Study demonstrating the efficacy of supplementation with B vitamins in facilitating the healing of skin ulcers in patients with patients with methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase mutations.

3. VITAMINS OF THE BE DEPRESSION GROUP

Very interesting study, still in progress, which evaluates the efficacy of supplementation with B vitamins, in improving the response to antidepressant treatment in elderly patients.
