Urology is the branch of internal medicine that studies and treats problems affecting the urinary tract of both sexes and the male reproductive system.

The urologist, therefore, is an internal doctor specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the urinary tract of men and women and the organs responsible, in humans, for reproduction (penis, prostate, testicles and seminal vesicles ).
