Pettineo

The pectineus muscle is located in the super-medial part of the thigh. Together with the ileopsoas muscle it forms the floor of the ileopettinea fossa. It originates from the pubic tubercle, from the anterior aspect of the superior branch of the pubis, from the combous crest and from the pubofemoral ligament.

It is inserted into the pectoral line of the femur (middle branch of the line).

With his contraction he adducts and rotates the thigh externally. Can intervene in the flexion.

It is innervated by the obturator nerve (L2-L4) and the femoral nerve (L2, L3).
