ICTAMMOLO ® is indicated in the treatment of inflammatory lesions of the skin such as abscesses, boils and ulcerations.
Mechanism of action ICTAMMOLO ® Ammonium sulfoittiolato
The sulfoittiolato ammonium, active ingredient of ICTAMMOLO ®, is a natural ointment obtained from the fusion of ammonia and metabolites of sulfuric acid characterized by the brownish color due to the high percentage of thiophene.
It is precisely the characteristic chemical composition that evidently determines its biological functions, being able to exert an anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, keratolytic and sebostatic action, obviously due to the presence of sulfur, classically used in dermatology.
All the aforementioned activities therefore make it possible to adequately control the inflammatory lesions present also during acne, improving the clinical course and normalizing the skin appearance through the optimization of the processes of keratinization and sebum production, such as to reduce the risk of bacterial proliferation .
Furthermore, topical use significantly reduces the risk of clinically relevant adverse reactions.
