The mirage of the miraculous card

The mirage of the miraculous card

Many sites give visitors the opportunity to purchase "personalized" training programs. In reality there is very little in their personal cards and I challenge anyone to prove the opposite.

Granted and not allowed that they are not simple pre-printed programs, their uselessness, however, lies in the lack of physical presence of the instructor during training. This presence is fundamental since it is necessary to carefully evaluate the correct technique of execution, the posture, the psychological aspect and many other things that cannot be examined at a distance.

Selling training programs online means taking advantage of people's ignorance, a bit like the fox did with Pinocchio.

But the mirage of the "miracle card" attracts many people, especially those who have little desire to sweat and who are always looking for the ideal shortcut to reach their goals effortlessly. Not to mention supplements and various devilries.

Information: the key to achieving success

Nowadays, getting information before making a purchase has become almost mandatory. The limited economic availability in relation to the myriad of proposals on the market has led the consumer to pay more and more attention to their purchases.

However, sometimes you let yourself be enchanted by poor products or services, especially if presented well or particularly desired. Let's look at an example.

I am Matteo, a 20 year old boy and I suffer a lot for my physical appearance. I started losing my hair at 16 and it weighs on me a lot, so much so that I try to hide it with hats and caps.

I know very well that the problem is genetic and not resolvable but one day suddenly I open a newspaper and read that in my city a new trichological center has opened. The advertising is very convincing, also because the new infrared treatment ensures regrowth in 95% of cases.

Full of enthusiasm I run to inform myself and I find myself welcoming a smiling gentleman with a white coat who shows me in detail, at times incomprehensible, the new machinery of miracles.

The cost per session is very high, 250 euros, but the expert assures me that after 10 sessions the hair will start to grow again. He convinced me, I make the purchase but after 10 sessions I don't find any improvement. "She is a special case but I am sure that with another 5 sessions the problem will be solved", I am convinced and proceed with the therapy. Even after three months the hair doesn't want to grow back.

Disconsolate, I begin to inform myself on the internet and a doctor confirms to me that androgenetic baldness is not curable and that there is no equipment capable of regrowing hair.

"If I had informed myself at least I would have avoided spending 3250 euros unnecessarily" I think desolate.

A similar example could be made for an obese girl struggling with online diets and for a frail boy looking for an effective training program. In all these cases, desire and enthusiasm cloud the reason.

Information is the only weapon we have to defend ourselves from the rip-offs of the outside world, let's not forget it!
