Directions ADVANTAN ® Methylprednisolone

ADVANTAN ® is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis, neurodermatitis and eczema.

Mechanism of action ADVANTAN ® Methylprednisolone

ADVANTAN ® is a drug based on Methylprednisolone aceoponate, a corticosteroid molecule with halogenated residues able to optimize the process of skin penetration, making topical therapy particularly effective.

Used through the skin in fact the active principle easily penetrates the skin, generating a secondary metabolite endowed with biological activity, capable of interacting with specific nuclear receptors by modulating the gene expression of the cells involved and inducing the expression of molecules such as Lipocortin, in able to block the process of synthesis of inflammatory mediators upstream, reducing the activity of the enzyme Phospholpiasis A2.

The reduced expression of inflammatory mediators causes a significant reduction in the inflammatory insult, with a relatively rapid remission of the complained symptomatology.
