Directions RINAZINA ® Nafazolina

RINAZINA® is indicated as a nasal decongestant during upper respiratory tract infections.

Mechanism of action RINAZINA ® Nafazolina

RINAZINA®, a medicinal product based on naphazoline, is a drug used as a decongestant of the nasal mucosa during respiratory infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis and allergic rhinitis.

Like the other sympathomimetic drugs, also Naphazoline, following topical administration, interacts with the alpha-one receptors of the vascular smooth muscle, causing vasoconstriction of the small mucosal vessels.

This effect guarantees the reduction of edema and mucus secretion with consequent unblocking of the upper respiratory tract and restoration of the normal ventilatory flow.

Topical use in addition to ensuring an optimization of the therapeutic effect, concentrating the drug directly on site, minimizes the potential systemic side effects ensuring a safe use of the product.
