One of the widespread ills of modern society is represented, paradoxically, by the well-being observed in its most negative sense: a sedentary lifestyle .
In support of this statement we can see how the main cardiovascular and metabolic diseases of the last 50 years, with the exception of cases with demonstrable genetic traceability, are the result of sedentary and incorrect lifestyles, identifiable beyond latitudes, but particularly evident in rich societies like Our.
From recent statistical research but also simply thanks to our personal experience, we can see how the question about why physical activity is not asked by the respondent, often directly proportional to the increasing chronological age, that there is a lack of time : well, this answer often in reality masks a lack of motivation.
Our ancestors, whose memories we carry at the genomic level, have been, for reasons of survival, true forerunners of modern athletes. Common activities like running, climbing, throwing, swimming, once vital for survival, are nowadays adequately related to the evolution of the species and contextualized to modern society. Not by chance some widespread pathologies that afflict our society as type 2 diabetes, heart attack, stroke, obesity, hypertension etc. they did not spread in the past years and today do not develop in less industrialized societies, contrary to what happens instead in Nostra, where cardio-vascular and metabolic accidents, with their systemic consequences, take the lives of thousands of people every year.
Normally those who do sports, to achieve competitive or merely aesthetic results, combining them with adequate nutrition, can achieve and maintain results for a long time.
Ultimately, to defeat sedentarism and all its consequences, a greater awareness of the validity of the practice of fitness and the correct way of doing fitness based on one's abilities and potential is of fundamental importance .
Are we really sure we don't want to invest some of our time in ourselves and in our health ?!
