About Cellalgia

No, I wasn't wrong to write. In fact the correct term is just cellalgia and not cellulite. The suffix "ite" indicates in the medical literature an inflammatory state IgE mediated (sinusitis, otitis, etc.). In this case, instead, we do not have the presence of immunoglobulins "e", therefore cellulite is not correct. The most complete term is panniculopatia edemo fibro sclerotic cicatriziale, but cellalgia is more comfortable. Now, I won't go into that on this subject, as a lot has already been written about it, so it doesn't seem useful to repeat. However, I will write some concepts to bring clarity. In fact, many times (and on this several incorrect aesthetic centers "ci marciano") we pass some simple subcutaneous fat for cellalgia. Do you know why? because in women, fat is bound to the epidermis in a perpendicular manner to it, unlike man (where it is tied in parallel). Therefore, when in the buttocks of a woman who is not perfectly lean, tighten a skin fold, the fat globules will be "choked", appearing on the surface with a grid effect. If you do the same thing with a man's buttock, these globules glide and no grid appears. Fat and cellalgia are two very different issues, so they should be treated as such. It is true this, that the etiology that leads to both is very similar (sedentary life, bad eating habits, alcohol) and in fact it is common to find cellalgia with excess fat. And this presenting themselves "in pairs" brings a lot of literature to believe that they are the same thing. However, I repeat, it is not so. Cellalgia is a disease that affects the loose connective tissue, the mesenchyme, which, due to the polymerization of the mucopolysaccharides, becomes increasingly dense, rigid, up to the sclerosis (irreversible - necessary surgery). The thickening of the mesenchyme leads to the compression of arterioles and nerves (with the appearance of pain) and to the formation of cellular nodules.

The polymerization of mucopolysaccharides occurs due to the stagnation of lymphatic fluids with a high presence of toxins (antibiotics, smoke, alcohol, acid ash ...). So its etiology can be summarized as: sedentary lifestyle + bad eating habits. Etiology exacerbated by hormonal imbalances, compressive tissues, paramorphisms and dysmorphisms. But I will not add anything else as it is already well taken care of within the site.

Treating the cellulgia in a now sclerotic form is the task of surgery, which can only partially succeed (obviously depends on the location and state of the pathology). Therefore, a little like for all diseases, the solution is in prevention, which is easier and cheaper than what one can believe: regular physical activity + healthy eating, or, more generally, a correct lifestyle. That's all. You don't need hundreds of euros in lymphatic drainage massages, because muscle compression in training does exactly the same thing economically. I know, that makes it more chic for friends to talk about beauty center with massage therapy instead of gym with sweat, but it's the results we are looking for and not the talk from a fashion magazine.

Alcohol and smoking

A brief reference to these two plagues of society. About smoking I have already written a lot in an article published on this same site, so I will not dwell. If you prepare a smoker consider the OBLIGATION to include in the diet a high presence of antioxidants. Try to convince her at least not to smoke for a couple of hours after training, when the breaths are more frequent and deep and the alveoli more receptive (the "poor" ones would expect oxygen and not 69 poisons and more). Obviously, smoking and aesthetics are as good as nutella with mayonnaise.
